object-collection-memory

I collect postcards. They are my memories, objects and collection that I always bring with me. It's silly and weird to bring a bunch of post cards when you are moving to a new country, but each postcard symbolize a memory, and each memory symbolize safety.

New way of making collage

Fabric, my hair, dead flowers, alive flower, unknown photography, ear ring, my burned work

After my tutorial last tuesday, I thought of new ways of keeping memories but also how you can use the memory and the stories, to make a collage.
I put my memory and my objects together with water.
It turned out to be wonderful

sea

The film "Sea" from may 2011. The garment are now fragments of a memory.
The film was made backwards and some parts are missing and overlapping. How do we "see" a memory? How do we remember? How can we remember differently? How can we add to a memory and forget other parts? What is important?

This is for my current project "What remains- Fragments of memory and existens".

Memory

"I think it is all a matter of love: the more you love a memory, the stronger and stranger it is."

Circle of memory

Exhibition at Fotografiska between june and august this year. I definitely know that I cant miss this.

"Eleanor Coppola’s Circle of Memory includes a photo exhibition of the actual size stones that surround a passage tomb and here encircle a contemporary interpretation of the passage way leading to a high circular room constructed from hundreds of bales of straw and the visitors’ own memories and wishes. The installation is intended to inspire and to remember and to celebrate the memory of children who have died or disappeared. At this time when our culture often does not provide a place to reflect on our losses, Eleanor Coppola hopes Circle of Memory will provide a universal meeting place of remembrance for all."
